SO YOU WANT TO JOIN THE LMC?
And why wouldn't you! The LMC is growing larger every day and we do it by being the best community for metal bands inside London. If you're a metal creative inside London, we want you to join us - but we have some basic requirements from you.
Don't worry, this isn't a job interview, we're not going to ask for a CV!
BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR JOINING THE LMC
YOU MUST:

Be an actively performing band

Have the majority of your band based within London (including Greater London)

Have music online (Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, Deezer, or even Youtube)

Be willing to play an active part in the community we have built, including being part of the various chats, Discord, or whatever form of communication you find best

Want to put your talents and skills, whatever level, towards LMC goals

Want to support LMC initiatives (CoFest, showcases, etc)

Be someone we can get along with, hang out with at shows, and ultimately be creative with
We understand that not everyone has the same free time to devote to numerous projects and side chats, but we want you to interact as and when you can. No-one is going to expect you to be at every LMC show, or read every chat thread, but we want you to want to be in this community.
THE LMC IS NOT A MANAGEMENT AGENCY, AND WHILE MEMBERS AND THE FORGE HAVE RUN SHOWS, WE ARE NOT A PROMOTER IN OURSELF WITH THE EXCEPTION OF COALITION FEST.
As such, we will not demand ANY money from you for being part of the LMC. This doesn't mean that all the things members run are free, it just means that the LMC will never ask you for any money to be a member of our community.
READY TO JOIN?
If you hit those requirements and are ready to join the LMC, there's a few ways to go about it.
#1 - SEND US AN EMAIL
Send an email with a write-up about your band, some logos (.png files please), and any social links or media links you think we need to see to our email at londonmetalcoalition@outlook.com and one of the Forge team will contact you about what we do next.
#2 - SPEAK TO AN LMC MEMBER
If you know an active LMC member, speak to them about joining. They will speak to the LMC in the chats we have, and then someone will contact you and we'll start the process.
#3 - COME TO AN LMC SHOW
Come to any show marked up with the LMC logo and you will meet someone from the LMC. Speak to someone, tell us who you are, and we'll get contact details to move forward.
#4 - SPEAK TO A FORGE MEMBER
Check out the Forge page on the site, and you'll likely have seen the members of the Forge group all over the place. We're probably the most direct line for joining the LMC, and if you want to get a feel for what we do and really make us feel why your band HAS to be in the LMC, speaking to us directly is always the way to go (we don't bite...mostly).
Once we have your details and have opened the conversation, the process is fairly fluid, and we try to tailor it to everyone's needs. The easiest way to explain it is that once you've spoken directly to us, if we're happy that you're on the same page as us, then you're on board! We'll add you to the site, you'll be in our chats, you'll be involved in our initiatives and you'll be part of our wider network.
If you contact us by email, we will want to meet you (at least one member) in person, ideally at a show so you can really get an idea of how the LMC benefits bands and you can hit the ground running with meeting your new network of 100+ friends!
